Königalm (Riedingtal)

The Königalm is one of the last alpine huts at the upper end of the beautiful Riedingtal, which is completely free of cable cars and lifts. The hut is well managed with friendly service staff. Very fair prices. The Königalm is also the terminus of the Riedingtal Almenbuses, which commutes between the Schlierersee and the Königalm at very short intervals and can be used free of charge by anyone who has paid the car toll for access to the Schlierersee (short toll road between the village of Zederhaus and the Schlierersee). Otherwise, the trip from Schlierersee to Königalm costs a manageable two euros per person. This makes the Alm a good starting point for hiking tours in the upper Riedingtal, such as to the Wasserfallscharte or Weißeck.
