        Today I rode up the very old Ettal road (left path, which then rejoins the old road at the top).

        At first, it's flat along the stream to the stele, then up to the right.

        Over roots and stones, still rideable, it continues to the old road.

        From here, it's brutal, large, steep scree with hardly any grip. Even with an electric fat bike, I had to restart about six times.

        With narrow tires, you have no chance here, in my opinion.

        For me, that was the worst 150 meters of elevation gain I've ever ridden.
