The “An den Teichen” green area in Dortmund-Eving was built in the 1950s and today offers a place of peace and relaxation. Originally characterized by a village pond that was fed from a spring, the water area increased due to coal mining and other historical events. Today the green area next to the pond includes various seating areas, a shelter as a meeting point and a playground. It also forms an important green connection between the Eving district and the northern city center up to Fredenbaumpark.
