The archaeological finds from the graves are attributed to the late Hallstatt culture (500 BC).
In 1828 these "mounds" were discovered. The mounds (about 6-10 mtr. Durchm.) Were enclosed in circular form with basalt plates. After digging, two urns filled with bones, ash and sand came to light. Further hill and flat graves (30 pieces) were discovered. The grave goods are inventoried in the Wiesbaden and Diezer Museum. (Source: local information board).

The burial grounds are unfortunately no longer visible today, as there is a clay pit today and overburden dumps overburden the area ....

Since the ancients mostly built their holy sites on the hilltops, some things will have fallen victim to the open-cast mine.
