There are several hiking trails, all well signposted. We could only spend a short time in the area as we were tied to the buses. There are several hotels on this route where you can easily spend the night.

Best and most efficient place to start your walk. The mountains are beautifully reflected in the water of the Taisho Pond. Very photogenic place.
