The church dates from the 12th century and consists of half-round absid, cows, longhouses and church towers. The walls are completely covered with white plaster. On the northern longhouse side, remains after a Romanesque sandstone portal and a Romanesque window covering have been produced and made visible. A Romanesque window opening is similarly marked on the southern long side.

The church was rebuilt in the 19th century under the leadership of CG Brunius when an armistice was demolished. The church was completely renovated in 1869-70 when, among other things, the tower was built and the longhouse was extended.
