The road is paved throughout and the first 2km to Renan have been freshly tarred (as of 30.07.2019). The surface leaves much to be desired except the first 2km. The slope is usually in the range of 4-6%, but the road increases in the last kilometer to up to 10%. There is hardly any traffic in contrast to the actual pass road.
