The ancient city of Sillyon is a real highlight in Turkey. Very left, no interventions, as far as backups are concerned. As it was abandoned, you can visit it today. However, you have to be careful in front of the cisterns and the Qanaren, the underground water supply of the city of Sillyon. The Qanars still carry water and are very deep. In their immediate vicinity are cisterns that are often empty but devilishly deep. There the water was collected.
At the foot of the mountain are the stadium, the gymnasion, Exedra, a lonely watchtower and some bastions, as well as a spring that still carries water for humans and animals. On the mountain are the Byzantine church, a small Seljuk prayer house, various temples, a Hellenistic building, which was possibly the bouleuterion, the magnificent ascent to the houses, the theater and the Odeion. The Odeion has disappeared in a landslide in depth and the theater in a later landslide even to the last five rows. From this point you have a very nice view over Antalya.
All in all, the walk over this city is very impressive. Can only be recommended.
Parking is available at the cafe. Follow the sign to Sillyon and then walk over a small yard above it and continue up the path behind it. The ascent to the ancient city, if you prefer, lies behind the watchtower and leads up the ramp to the plateau. There you enter the ancient city through the main gate.
The other way goes before the bastion a small screech way steeply upwards. On top of the plateau was also a city gate only for pedestrians!
