With an area of 204 hectares, Madum Sø is the largest lake in Himmerland. It is a so-called Lobeliesø with clean, nutrient-poor water. It is up to 7.5 meters deep. It lies at the eastern end of the forest "Rold Skov" between Skoerping and Astrup. The lake is a popular swimming spot for locals and tourists in the area.
