It's a shame that the route didn't survive after the war. It would probably have been shut down later in the 1990s. Today with the new ideas for change, one would be happy to still have the route. From Uedemerfeld to the sea to Vlissingen or to St. Petersburg for shopping. That was the longest stretch of the route. Cool thought, right?
