It's a shame that the route didn't survive after the war. It would probably have been shut down later in the 1990s. Today with the new ideas for change, one would be happy to still have the route. From Uedemerfeld to the sea to Vlissingen or to St. Petersburg for shopping. That was the longest stretch of the route. Cool thought, right? Today you can cycle or go for a walk, which is also very nice.

In 1900, the Bahnwärterhaus, which was previously on the Uedemerfelder Weg, demolished and rebuilt on the Bergstraße, where it still stands today. In 1902 it was extended by two apartments. From the year 1906 passengers could board here; Also goods such as coal and agricultural products were loaded here. Towards the end of the Second World War, the tracks were blown up during the advance of the Allies on the city of Xanten.Source: "boxtelerbahn.eu/content.asp?kid=10010625"

Very well preserved ... with an information board ... reminiscent of a bygone ... good time 🚂🚃🥰
Today, in the present, you can enjoy cycling or 🥾🥾💚 on the former railway line
Wonderful 🌳 🌲🍃🍂🍁
