The fountain is dedicated to the memory of the late Miss Auguste Ohlendorff from Hamburg, who for health reasons lived in Friedrichroda all her life and who distinguished herself through charity efforts of all kinds, especially towards the poor.
The source is a special protégé of the beautification club that s. Z. and has been in good condition ever since.
