The Canadian Trail was built by the mountain bike Freiburg e.V. in cooperation with four Canadian trail construction professionals and is with its fun course and countless built adjacent curves a really great flow trail. And quite highly official - not even in the Black Forest.

Let's go on the Kybfelsensattel, the destination is located above the Sternwaldwiese directly on the outskirts of Freiburg. More or less parallel to the descent, there is a moderate Uphill, so that you can reach the start of the trail also directly from Freiburg. If you want to go for a longer ride, you can pedal up to Schauinsland and board the "Badishmoon Trail", which joins the Canadian Trail. This results in about twelve kilometers of the finest mountain bike fun!

  • In order to get to know the Canadian as a beginner, it makes sense to work the trail from below. The lower sections are all a bit shorter and more flowing.

From section 4, the trail is generally more flowing, clearer and also suitable for beginners. In section 6 there is another steep / short section.

The upper sections (1-3) are great to let off steam and develop further. Much naturally integrated into the landscape and with the acclaimed Canadian flair.

  • Medium heavy downhill descent. A visit is recommended. Many investors and ramps.

  • Beautiful in the natural topography built (Canadian Trailbuilder) Trail from the Kybfelsensattel to the city limits of Freiburg (450hm). Very nice flowig ride, never too difficult but still demanding: good balance of fun and thrills - top!

  • In my opinion not suitable for beginners, with hardtails the whole thing is borderline, even if there are always flowing sections in the individual sections, protective equipment is definitely recommended - the route itself is brilliant if you mastered it.

  • We liked the Canadian a lot, albeit a bit tough for us at the start of the season. The whole mountain is great and afterwards you can have a coffee right in town

  • Great trail
For beginners it does the sections 5 / 6-9
1-4 are already S2 places which are not without

  • Merciless, never-ending trail. In the upper part two scarce S4 places! Otherwise largely S2 but with many S3 places.

  • Beautiful trail but very demanding.
Currently there are also many brake waves in the residents. Protective equipment is definitely recommended.

  • The Canadien Trail or "Schleuer" is built by the Mountainbike Freiburg in cooperation with Canadian Trailexperten and is maintained by the association since then.

  • Easier and more flowing than the Borderline, but significantly more demanding than the Hexentrail. The Canadian offers a lot of variety and is a classic. One of the best trails around Freiburg.

  • Geiler official trail, which is also mobile with the hardtail.

  • Absolutely great trail. The guys did a great job here.
There are challenging parts and jumps which can be avoided.

  • A mega trail that the Mountain Bike Club Freiburg has had shaped. The entrance is quite blocked and steep, after which it flows into Flow. However, I would say that this trail is less suitable for beginners.

  • If the weather is good, it will be cool to drive. I'm on the 27th.
4.2019 down with the boys from the Freiburg MTB Club was pretty good but manageable Heavi.

  • Very well filed trail that is really fun. There are some very challenging parts. As a beginner, the lower sections are more suitable and then approach slowly
