This section of the Rideau Trail gets much nicer once you leave the paved paths behind and head into the Greenbelt west of Moodie Drive. From here, it’s mostly a wide gravel trail through the woods towards Bells Corners, with orange Rideau Trail markers helping with navigation. It can get pretty muddy after rain, especially closer to Old Richmond Road, so waterproof shoes are a good idea.
