The boardwalk is one of the nicest changes of scenery on the loop, carrying you straight across the wetland instead of around its edge. It runs for about 150 metres, with open views across the marsh and plenty of chances to watch for birds. The boardwalk was rebuilt in 2018, along with the connecting trail, to make this part of FWR Dickson easier to access.
