    Tips

    October 3, 2026

Tim Shea Falls is a beautiful 10-metre cascade on Tim Shea Creek, tucked into the dense subtropical rainforest of Bunya Mountains National Park, and is at its best after rainfall. The walk to the falls passes through a massive strangler fig that has completely enveloped its host tree, leaving a hollow large enough to walk through, and is one of the park’s most memorable features. The surrounding forest is home to Pittas, Satin Bowerbirds, and a wide variety of fungi and ferns, making the walk as interesting to get here as it is once you reach the falls.
