Stacking cairns and taking stones is officially forbidden in the entire summit area around the Njegoš Mausoleum!
The barren rocky slopes of Lovćen National Park are a protected cultural monument and a sensitive habitat for rare insects and lizards. Please respect nature conservation, do not destroy animal habitats, and leave the landscape as you find it. The official hiking trails are well-marked anyway.
