The area of Viel Audon has been inhabited since prehistoric times by people who enjoy a mild climate, a river filled with fish, a source of constant temperature, a fauna and lush vegetation.

At the beginning of the nineteenth century, the golden age of the silkworms, the inhabitants left the hamlet to set up large silkworm farms on the plateau overlooking the village.

A century of abandonment and forgetfulness has made it disappear beneath the ruins and ivy.

For more than twenty years, some "utopians" have been reviving the Much Audon. They founded the association Le MAT, which organizes summer camps for young people. More than 10,000 volunteers participated in the reconstruction of the hamlet, some of which wanted to become today's residents.

The farm is an example of sustainable and sensible management of resources on a bushland. Agriculture, hospitality and education are the foundations for the development of this project, where lifestyle and choice of consumption stimulate reflection and pedagogy.
