From this lookout along the Cape Schanck boardwalk, Pulpit Rock stands out below, and is a magnificent volcanic formation shaped by millions of years of wave and wind erosion, with its base known as the Devils Desk. The view is fantastic, both from higher along the walking track and down at Pebble Beach, where the rock's dark, weathered form contrasts against the lighter cliffs surrounding it. It's one of the most photographed spots on the Mornington Peninsula and is especially striking in the late afternoon light.
