Mount Peel's south summit is considered to be the most challenging point to reach within the reserve, but it also pays you back with the best views. The shortest route to the summit is via Basalt Walk, but you can also reach it from further afield by taking Wombat Berry Walk to its junction with the Basalt Walk. Be prepared for a bit of scrambling towards the top and bring plenty of water and sun protection.
