Malga Monte Alto is known because 12 stone boundary markers from the 16th century were found there, which delimited the border of its pasture. The engraving MSM: Monasterium Sancti Michaelis (Monastery of S. Michael on the Adige) is still visible on the markers, who were the ancient owners. Later the property passed to the E.Mach Foundation and then to the municipality of Giovo. Now, 12 wooden statues made by local sculptors are also embedded in its pasture at Malga Monte Alto.
