Honeysuckle Campground sits near the site of the former Honeysuckle Creek space tracking station, which once relayed the first television footage of the Moon landing to the world. It’s a well-equipped, spacious site with picnic tables, gas barbecues, a communal fireplace, and pit toilets, though dogs are not allowed in Namadgi National Park, so you’ll have to leave your pup at home. The Australian Alps Walking Track runs directly through it, providing access to nearby Booroomba Rocks and Orroral Ridge, making it a great base for exploring this part of the park.
