Just wow! The landscape of the hammer, the trail too. And this view of the Fiescher glacier tops it all off. Here I have looked for a rock to take a little break. It's really sad that the disappearance of this splendor is basically inevitable.

There are several very popular photo spots on the trail past the glacier, and there are always wonderful views of the Fiescher Glacier. The Fieschergletscher lies on the south side and is therefore particularly threatened by melting. The second longest glacier in the Alps after the neighboring Aletsch Glacier, but it is comparatively narrow.
