Marmion Marine Park stretches along Perth’s northern coastline from Trigg Island to Burns Rocks, protecting 9,500 hectares of reefs, lagoons, islands and coastal waters. Gazetted in 1987 as Western Australia’s first marine park, it supports a rich mix of marine life, with the warm Leeuwin Current bringing tropical species into its waters, along with a resident population of Australian sea lions. Spots like Mettam’s Pool and Boyinaboat Reef make the water easy to enjoy, whether you’re swimming, snorkelling, diving, or just out on the water fishing and boating.
