The current temple, built of brick, was originally a manor tobacco drying house. The owner of the village established a manor chapel there before 1834. It was rebuilt in 1861 and during World War I thanks to the efforts of Father Wacław Szczotkowski, the parish priest in Rzejowice.
On October 1, 1941, an independent pastoral post, a so-called expositure, was established at the church, and on November 2, 1947, the parish of St. Rosalia of Palermo was established.
The interior of the temple was rebuilt in the years 1969–1973, during the tenure of Father Jerzy Barszcz.
