The house was opened in 1920 as a non-profit recreation and hiking home for underprivileged youth of Diözesan Caritasverband on the estate "Jägermatt". After a fire in 1923, a new building was built at the present location, which went into operation in 1925 and soon became a sought-after nursery. After the sale to the Nuremberg construction company "ITZ Clinic Projects GmbH & Co KG Clinic Caritas Haus Feldberg" the property was completely renovated and converted into a modern clinic.
