Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park sits on the west side of the lake, and the lake itself is known for fishing, paddleboarding, canoeing, picnicking and camping. But here, on the north side of it, you'll find easy access to a gravel hatchery service road that runs almost all the way northeast to Qualicum Bay, tracking closely beside the Big Qualicum River for most of its length.
