Route description
Along the white-red-white marked path to the Lauenehore/Lauenenhorn. The name in Gipfelbuch.ch does not correspond to the name according to LK: Louwenenhore.
Descent: different variants:
i) ascent route
ii) further to Giferspitz 2541mwinter
From Turnelsattel the ridge to the summit is often snow-blown.
The ascent from Lauenen is at high risk of avalanches / slabs of snow depending on the year, since the farmers sometimes only mow the grass every three years. Consequence: The snow from entire slopes slides off pretty quickly. However, one is quite flexible in the ascent. I feel sorry for the creators of this highlight. But unfortunately the name and the place do not match. You were on the Lauenenhorn.

The Lauenenhorn is a secluded summit overlooking Lauenen and Gstaad – perfect for those who want to venture off the beaten track. The view from the summit is magnificent: Wildhorn, Giferspitz, Arpelistock, Geltenhorn, and far into the Valais and Bernese Oberland 🌄👀.Ascent options:
