Heaton Lookout is one of the larger, fenced lookouts on Heaton Road, facing south-east with beautiful views over the Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie, and the coastline in the distance. There is a great picnic area here, with wood-fired barbecues, picnic tables, and a pit toilet, making it an easy spot for a proper break with fantastic scenery.
