The Lake Macquarie parkrun is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 5-kilometre walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate event. It's held every Saturday starting at 8:00 am. For an official time, register online here, parkrun.com.au/lakemac. The course traces the north shore of Lake Macquarie on concrete paths, starting at the corner of Aspinall Street and First Street and finishing at the roundabout just past the Macquarie Field.
