Nowra Creek is a small tributary of the Shoalhaven River, running through bushland just west of central Nowra. The creek is fairly narrow and shaded, with sandstone banks, overhanging vegetation and quieter pools along the way. After rain, the water level can rise noticeably and the creek feels much fuller, while drier periods leave more of the rocky bed exposed.
