Princely castle from the 13th century near Burgeis (Mals)
The medieval complex of the Fürstenburg in Burgeis was built by the Chur Bishop Konrad in the 13th century. Some redesigns took place in the 16th and 17th centuries. What is particularly worth seeing is the huge keep with a wall thickness of three meters, which, together with the surrounding fortification and stronghold, forms the oldest part of the building stock.
In 1996 the tower collapsed and was then expanded by the then director Georg Flora. Today the Fürstenburg houses a technical school for agriculture and forestry.

From Reschenpass down the middle of the beautiful village of Burgeis. You directly pass the village square with fountain which is great for a break.
