Warrandyte State Park covers 586 hectares along the Yarra River east of Melbourne. There is an extensive network of walking and mountain bike tracks, picnic areas, and canoe access, making it a popular destination for exploring the outdoors. There are historic gold mining sites that date back to Victoria’s first official gold discovery in 1851, and the park is also home to abundant wildlife, including eastern grey kangaroos, echidnas, platypus, and more than 120 species of native birds.
