Yacaaba Headland walking track is a moderately challenging Grade 4 return from the southern end of Bennetts Beach. It starts along the expansive, sandy shoreline before taking you on a gradual climb through a bushland of angophoras, gnarled banksias, and grass trees to the ridge of the headland. As you gain elevation, the trail opens up to breathtaking views across Port Stephens, the coast, and Seal Rocks. Offshore, you can also spot Cabbage Tree Island (a protected haven for the Gould’s petrel), and on a clear day, you can see all the way to the blue ridgeline of Barrington Tops.
