Cycling
The D6 is a national Slovenian cycling route along the Adriatic coast and largely runs on the historic Parenzana, a former narrow-gauge railway between Trieste and Poreč. Today, the route offers well-developed cycle paths, tunnels, viaducts, and wonderful views of vineyards, olive groves, and the sea. At the same time, this section is part of the EuroVelo 8 – Mediterranean Route.
