The view from the dike between Enkhuizen and Lelystad is always impressive. On one side stretches the vast IJsselmeer. The air can mix endlessly with the water here, which gives a feeling of space and freedom.
On the other side of the dike you can see the modern city of Lelystad rising from the flat polder landscape. The sleek lines of buildings and wind turbines in stark contrast with the natural view of the IJsselmeer.
