Bowring Park is built on the remnants of a farm that was bought by the Bowring Brothers in 1911. Canada's first resident landscape architect, Frederick Todd, designed the park which was opened in 1914. These days the park has playgrounds, multi-use trails, tennis courts, a swimming pool, sculptures, and much more. It's a popular, accessible location for people of all ages to enjoy in St. John's.
