This stadium is now known for hosting AFL games but the grounds were originally converted from swampland into an oval for cricket matches. While it has previously hosted games for the Hawthorn Football Club and St Kilda Football Club it will become the official home stadium for the Tasmania Football Club when it joins the AFL in 2028.
