The Imperial Family visited Langin-koski in July 1888, when the fishing lodge was still under construction.
The Emperor Alexander III looked for a place to fish and found a perfect rock by the river.
It is said that the Emperor himself built a wooden ladder up the rock, which remained there until the 1930s.
From the rock the Emperor angled for asps running up the river to spawn.
