The Coolongolook River is one of the three major rivers that feed Wallis Lake, flowing 47 km from the Koolonock Range before winding through forests and wetlands to the estuary near Forster. Unlike the open coastline, this is a calm tidal river lined with mangroves, paperbarks and eucalypts, making it a popular spot for kayaking, boating and birdwatching.
