Stora Ladängen is a cabin, campsite and rest spot on the traditional second stage of the Roslagsleden. It's possible to rent the house, though you'll have to get in contact with Vallentuna Municipality to do this. At the time of writing (summer 2026) Spruce bark beetles are wreaking havoc in this part of Gävsjöskogen and some trees have fallen, while others are in danger of doing so. The trail here is still open but there's also an alternative detour to the west.
