In the midst of the vineyards of the Avant-Monts, the castle of Margon has dominated the village for centuries. Mentioned as early as the 11th century, it retains its medieval fortress layout while displaying the elegant transformations of the Renaissance: mullioned windows, turrets, and flamboyant Gothic decorations. Its terraced gardens, labeled "Jardin remarquable" (Remarkable Garden), extend the castle facade towards the surrounding wine landscape. A stop that blends heritage, architecture, and a typically Languedocian atmosphere.
