Not only that, a herd of water buffalo makes the biotope "small Africa" for me

Biosphere Bliesgau in the Beeder Bliesaue area - not to be touched, but from the viewing platform here on the bike path there is a lot of something special to look at. Egyptian geese, water cattle, a stork's nest, many other aquatic animals - don't forget your binoculars!
Adventure place for families with children from approx. 5-10 years.

The beavers are nutrias. The route can also be described as easy. Still a very recommendable tour for the whole family.

The great landscape invites you to linger. Nice place for a break. There are two viewing platforms that allow a view of the extensive biotope with the animals.

The Beeder biotope is home to numerous animal species, for example Heck cattle, water buffalo and Konik horses are used extensively for grazing. "Master Adebar", the white stork, also feels at home here. The biotope was artificially created with flood troughs, wet fallow land, willow bushes and valley oat meadows. Every year some pairs of storks breed here and can be observed from two different viewing platforms. Many birds also rest here in the Höllengraben: great egrets, pygmy hawks, ospreys, cranes, ruff, wood sandpipers, lapwing, meadow pipit, stonechat, snipe and Egyptian geese. The Beeder Biotope Association takes care of the maintenance. The 4 km long Biotope-Culture-Loop Beeden starts at the vantage point between the sports fields "Am Sandweg".
