Hiking
The Eyre, also called the Petite Leyre, flows down from the Landes, crossing a long wooded valley before reaching the vast humid meadows of Biganos and Le Teich. At its mouth, the river divides into a complex delta, made up of water channels, reed beds, and floodplains that change with the tides of the Bassin.
At high tide, the Eyre fills up and reflects the sky; at low tide, the mudflats appear and attract herons, egrets, and waders. It is a living landscape, in perpetual motion, where the river finishes its journey before flowing into the Bassin d’Arcachon.
