Turkey is an absolute paradise for wild camping. You have the total freedom to pitch your tent wherever you drop your backpack. This spot marked the end of the first stage. I pitched the tent literally right on the riverbank.
Topographically speaking, sleeping in a depression so close to the water breaks the textbook rules of camping survival. But the night was warm, the weather held up, and the raw atmosphere of the rushing stream was simply too good to pass up. A perfectly calculated risk.
