The little village of Moneygall is home to the Rock of Loyer Loop, a short but wonderfully scenic countryside trail. The village also has a connection with former US President Barack Obama. His great-great-great-grandfather Falmouth Kearney grew up here and moved to New York aged 19. The Obamas visited the village in May 2011 as part of a visit to Ireland.
