Hiking
Set on a peninsula between the historic Lachine Canal and Lac Saint-Louis, the Père-Marquette Promenade is a scenic 1.4-kilometre waterside walk with plenty of reasons to linger. The trail passes picnic areas and outdoor fitness stations, while the nearby 1803 Fur Trade at Lachine stone building adds a historical touch.
At the end, wide views open across Lac Saint-Louis and a sheltered bay popular with paddle sports. Keep an eye out for Monica by Jules Lasalle, a striking public artwork resembling the statues on Easter Island.
