tour of the Genoese forts… we started with the Granarolo rack railway and the first fort was Begato, then Sperone, then Puin, then the younger brother, then the bigger one, Diamante. Break at the Baita del Diamante for a well-deserved hamburger and descent to Righi, then the Castelletto esplanade, a piece of the center with the Annunziata church (beautiful, gilded inside) and return via Balbi towards Granarolo… a trip absolutely worth doing!!!
