The "Kyrkstenarna" are located along the federal highway 34 between Högsby and Berga.
There is a parking bay exactly at the forest path.
Their history dates back to the Kalmar War, which lasted from 1611 to 1613 and during which several battles were fought in the vicinity of Högsby. According to legend, the Danish army used the church as a stable, forcing the local population to find another place for worship. The so-called "Kyrkstenarna" are three large erratic boulders, arranged by nature to form a space with three walls and an entrance.
