Access just off Waitea Road, there is a walk track to the Gannet Colony and viewing platforms. The nesting birds can be seen very close. To the north is Muriwai Beach. The large flat rock at the base of the cliff is Fishermen rock.. guess why...? Care needs to be taken as large waves frequently break over the rock.
