Baulofsbruch Forest Trail

The route simply makes you want more.

I've ridden past this so-called "mountain bike highlight" quite a few times. Yesterday I took the trail under the wheels.
Admittedly it is more interesting to use such a path than to drive via the forest highway, but it is just a few meters that you can also ride with a touring bike. So: I think the mountain bike highlight is a bit over the top!
It is surprising that there are really 3 descents/single trails not far from this point that are not mentioned. I don't want to ride one of them without protectors (a really steep gully).
You continue to the Hölenderweg and a little further up in the direction of Eggerscheid, and then turn right into a Neanderlandsteig. Here you are already on the first trail, which then leads down to the paper factory near the Auermühle. You can now go uphill around the Auermühle and down the second single trail.
Upwards, these two trails can only be tackled (or pushed) with a pedelec. But please be careful, i.e. without letting the rear wheels spin, otherwise these trails are quickly ruined.
P.S.: Unfortunately, my navigation system is defective, otherwise I would have recorded and uploaded the track.

The trail is currently (04/2020) inaccessible due to forest work. There are more trees on the path than there are ants in the forest.
